The data that you can get from Search Console can help businesses discover new ranking opportunities, boost existing performance, and learn how exactly people are coming to their website by their search intent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_are_the_GSC_used_for\"><\/span>What are the GSC used for?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Google Search Console provides you a performance report metrics about organic traffic coming to business websites as well as each individual URL. This is a big part of why the number of clicks you see in Search Console doesn\u2019t always match with sessions you see in the landing-page report of Analytics; because Google measures these metrics with slightly different definitions.<\/li><li><strong>Position:<\/strong>&nbsp;This means the average position of the&nbsp;<em>topmost<\/em>&nbsp;result from your site for a given keyword.
