    Get to Know a Cryptocurrency

For those who are new to investing, discussing Cryptocurrency is a bit of a headache. Not finished learning about stocks or mutual funds, the world is now planning to adopt Cryptocurrency for payment instruments. However, you don’t need to worry. As long as you have the desire to learn and are always careful when making decisions, so your Crypto money investment will be successful. Well, before starting investing, it helps us know what Cryptocurrency is. The following is an understanding of Cryptocurrency and its brief history.

    What is Cryptocurrency?

Reporting from various sources, Cryptocurrency is a digital currency that is used to transact virtually via the internet network. In addition, it is explained that Cryptocurrency is decentralized, which means neither party will be an intermediary in a transaction. Payments are also made directly between the recipient and the sender (peer to peer). To make transactions easier, Cryptocurrency also uses a blockchain platform. This needs to be done. A decentralized Cryptocurrency that requires a computer with high and sophisticated specifications.

    The Beginning of Cryptocurrency

Over time, Cryptocurrency appeared back in the 1990s and has only begun to become international prominence in recent years. There are several types of Cryptocurrency that are widely circulating, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Monero. Of all the cryptocurrencies, of course, the most popular is Bitcoin.

    Cryptocurrency Advantages

Is Cryptocurrency really going to overturn paper currency? Of course, the answer is not certain. However, we can see what are the advantages of Cryptocurrency for the community. Here are some of the advantages of Cryptocurrency, including :

    1. Transparent

Digital currency is designed as a transparent currency. Here, users can monitor transaction activity that has been carried out without worrying about losing money or the difference in amount. In addition, no other party can see the transactions you have made and vice versa. You can make financial transactions without the need to display your real identity which is a personal data security solution.

    2. Is Universal

Cryptocurrency can be used by everyone without any binding regulations and conditions.

    3. Fast and Accurate

With blockchain technology, the digital currency payment process can be done quickly, safely, and easily.

    4. Avoiding Counterfeiting

Blockchain uses a system that does not allow two different transactions with the same currency. Therefore, this system can avoid counterfeiting.

Until now, Cryptocurrency is still used only in terms of online buying and selling transactions, mining, and as a means for investment. Then, is it possible to replace paper money as a convenient means of payment in the future? The only time that can answer.

  • The Importance of Employee Mobile Apps for Today’s Companies

The Importance of Employee Mobile Apps for Today’s Companies

Today, the mobile working trend has become increasingly popular since the internet is easily accessible. Smartphones apps are not only used for communication purposes, but also for work purposes. Additionally, employee mobile apps development is also becoming increasingly popular among corporations. With application development, managers to CEOs can efficiently monitor all conditions of the company anytime and anywhere. That is why every company must ensure that its company supports mobile access for employees and provides optimal employee communication.

Building Application Systems to Company Needs

In general, every company must also develop systems by building applications according to company needs. Both application development is carried out by in-house or using the services of an external IT vendor. There are things that need to be ensured in order for the application development to run well and company losses due to non-fluency processes can be minimized.

    1. The Main Purposes of the Application

Make sure the purpose of the application development is clearly defined, to determine the needs for application development and what needs to be prepared.

    2. The Technology to be Used

After determining the application development goals, the next step is to decide what technology to use. This depends on the apps to be developed. Whether the application will be specifically designed for mobile, desktop only, or both. Make sure your company use the right technology and can maximize the functionality of your application.

    3. Selection of developers, whether resource or vendor

If you decide to use an external vendor, comparisons must be made by making a tender or pitching to find out the market price and quality required. Also make sure to make a work transparency agreement from the beginning so you will not be tricked by vendors, and to avoid data leakage.

    4. System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

It is a planning model used in project management, which can describe the stages involved in an information system development project. Starting from the concept and initial feasibility study to application maintenance that has been completed. Implementing SDLC in the development of this application will greatly assist the development and sustainability of application functions.

    5. Documentation on the Application

Documentation on the application must be accordingly created to the application being built and always updated for further application development. Usually, the data documentation process is forgotten by developers who only focus on developing applications. Whereas, this is very important to be able to create integration between applications so as not to experience a difficult process in the future. For example, difficulty in finding data stored in which application database.

  • The Importance of Quality Assurance and its Maintenance for Digital Products

The Importance of Quality Assurance and its Maintenance for Digital Products

Thus, assuring the quality within the digital transformation cycle is essential for enterprises that focuses towards customer experience. If there is a miss in quality it would lead to huge costs of ramifications for the brand or service. Which is why Quality Assurance (QA) plays a key role in the transformation cycle because it allows enterprises to focus on maintaining their entire customer experience while at the same time ensure to deliver high quality applications or digital products with respect to funtionability, design, reliability, durability, & price of the product.

Importance of Quality Assurance in Software Testing

Quality Assurance in Software Testing (also popularly known as QA Testing)is defined as a procedure to ensure the quality of software products or services provided to the customers by an organization. Any company’s success after the digital transformation relies heavily on its customers, which is why QA focuses on enhancing their infrastructure, thus replacing existing redundant procedures and instead adopting more efficient and effective ones.

In order to ensure the quality and stability that customers expect of an organisation, Quality Assurance and Testing teams need to:

    • Manage numerous applications, services and platforms to ensure smoother development of sophisticated products
    • Implement universal value chain automation that streamlines test execution
    • Blend integration tests into the overall app lifecycle, which cleans up a product from top to bottom.

Both the digital and non-digital platforms in which the customers interact must be configured for functionality testing. Testing conditions must mimic user behaviour to ensure a well-defined and consistent customer experience. In order to automate and perfect the whole customer participation environment, QA teams preferably should repeatedly test automation on multiple platforms and operating systems.

The whole process of creation, production, promotion, distribution and final delivery must cover QA and testing teams.

    How does Quality Assurance work?

Quality assurance has a defined cycle called PDCA cycle or Deming cycle. The phases of this cycle are:

    • Plan: Organisations should plan and establish the process related objectives and determine the processes that are required to deliver a high-quality end product
    • Do: Development and testing of processes and also “do” changes in the processes
    • Check: Monitoring of processes, modify the processes, and check whether it meets the predetermined objectives
    • Act: Implement actions that are necessary to achieve improvements in the processes

QA Contribution to the Digital Transformation

    1. DevOps Testing: DevOps is becoming an integral part of every organization’s strategy as it provides higher speed, frequency, and reliability while engineering products, applications, and solutions. The emphasis is on organizational resilience and fast delivery cycles with continuous integration and continuous execution.
    2. Cloud Testing: Cloud testing is a method to assess the performance and functionality of software applications implemented in the cloud environment. Simulated real-world network traffic is used to assess web applications implemented in a cloud environment.
    3. IoT Testing: IoT testing is conducted to ensure that IoT devices operate as expected and are able to connect successfully with other devices on the network. Testing these devices in a managed laboratory setting would be somewhat different from testing them in the real environment where they will be installed.
    4. Cognitive QA: Advances in artificial intelligence and machine learning have helped create predictions in the QA phase. This involves changes in the mindset of the company and the approach to user experience testing for the consumer. Cognitive QA is for the application of machine learning, statistical and prescriptive research strategies. The secret to cognitive QA is a self-learning and self-adapting environment.
    5. Chatbot Testing: Conversational apps or chatbots can transform the way consumers communicate with brands and companies. Many market leaders claim that conversational interfaces can replace websites and apps by using the most common means of human communication — dialogues.

Maintenance in QA for Digital Products

Whenever a new product goes live after a digital transformation, product owners are worried with how it can be maintained. In order to better understand how project maintenance works. One has to dig further into what has to be achieve after the work has been finish.

There are many activities that need to be carry out while a commodity is alive, so that it is in what is consider a repair process. Understanding the essence of these activities is essential to the day-to-day operation of every digital product. They’re normally organize as follows:

    1. Preventive Maintenance: conduct routine activities that ensure the operating status of the program (e.g. security updates)
    2. Corrective Maintenance: refers to a situation that has affected the correct function of the system .
    3. Evolutive Maintenance: activities that fall beyond preventive and corrective maintenance.

Quality Assurance is mean to verify if the product produce is safe for use. In order to achieve this, enterprises should have protocols to be adopt. It reflects primarily on the nature of the product/service that we offer to consumers before or after the deployment of the program.

  • The Fundamentals of Cloud Computing

    The Fundamentals of Cloud Computing

The term Cloud Computing may sound familiar in this digital age, not everyone fully grasps its essentials and characteristics. With the Internet revolutionizing most of our daily lives, it has been a driving force towards various technologies. That various have been developed, including cloud computing.

To start off with, what exactly is the cloud?

“The cloud” is a metaphor that refers to the delivery of computing services — including servers, data storage, networks, databases, analytics, intelligence, and software — over the Internet (hence “the cloud”) to facilitate faster innovation, flexible resources, and economies of scale.

Before cloud computing, companies typically buy stacks of servers and hard drives. Companies host their website to keep it running and monitor the traffic. The downside of this is that the setup of these servers can be expensive. Troubleshooting problems may conflict with the business goals, bigger data storage is needed once the company grows. Since website traffic is varying, the servers will be idle most of the time.

Rather than companies having to make significant investments in managing physical servers or data centers, train staff, and provide continuous maintenance, some or all of these needs are managed by a cloud service provider that handles the cloud computing efforts.

How does cloud computing work, then?

For cloud service providers, the two most common services that they offer include:

    1. Compute power — comprises three compute options
    • Virtual Machine: Cloud computing is possible due to a technology called virtualization as it allows the creation of an emulation that is remotely accessed through your computers. With virtual machines, there is no need to buy any hardware or install the operating system.
    • Containers: Similar to a virtual machine, however, containers do not require an operating system. Containers are already a package of applications and store their dependencies that later execute the application.
    • Serverless Computing: Breaks cloud applications down into even smaller components that only run when they’re needed.

    2. Storage

    • Cloud service providers take care of all your data storing needs.
    • Cloud storage is scalable.
    • If more storage is needed at a given time, you can simply pay more to expand the storage capacity.

Benefits of Cloud Computing for Businesses

Cloud service providers enable businesses to rent access to anything from applications to storage, instead of having businesses possess their own computing infrastructure or data centers. It’s important for businesses to shift their traditional IT resources to cloud computing services due to the benefits it offers for sustainability, namely:

    • Cost-effective: cloud computing provides a pay-as-you-go model, which means that you only have to pay for the resources that you use.
    • Scalable: Companies can increase or decrease the resources and services at any given time according to their needs, both vertically (adding resources to increase the power of an existing server) or horizontally (adding more servers that function together as one unit).
    • Reliable: Cloud computing authorizes businesses to have data backup, disaster recovery, and data replication services.
    • Security: Cloud service providers strictly implement policies, controls, and technologies that strengthen data, apps, and infrastructure protection from threats.
    • Elastic: Through automatic adding or removing resources, the cloud computing system will adjust for workload changes due to its high or low demand.

Types of Cloud Computing: Cloud Deployment Models

Clouds are establish in different models, types, and services that help companies offer the right solution depending on what the business need. The first thing to consider when determining the type of cloud deployment or cloud computing architecture that is going to be implement in the cloud services is the three different ways to deploy cloud services: on a public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud.

    • Public Cloud: A service run by a third-party cloud service provider that may include servers in one or multiple data centers. Using virtual machines, individual servers are share by multiple organizations. Major hypescalers for the public cloud include Microsoft (Azure), Amazon (Amazon Web Services or AWS), Alibaba (Alicloud), and Google (Google Cloud).
    • Private Cloud: Refers to a cloud environment in a data center that is dedicate exclusively to companies or organizations who are concern with sharing their resources to the public cloud. Private clouds are implement on the servers own, manage, and accessible by the company through the Internet or private internal network.
    • Hybrid Cloud: Combines the public and private cloud. Hybrid cloud facilitates companies greater flexibility, more deployment options, and helps optimize your existing infrastructure, security, and compliance.

Types of Cloud Computing: Cloud Service Categories

After considering the deployment model for the company’s cloud environment, most cloud computing services fall into four broad categories: infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and software as a service (SaaS). Often they are call the “stack” cloud computing because of how they build on top of one another. It is more convenient to achieve your business goals by knowing what they are.

    • Infrastructure as a service (IaaS): IaaS is the simplest option for businesses. Businesses migrate their hardware by rents the infrastructure and storage they need from the cloud vendor and then use that cloud infrastructure to build their application instead of purchasing and maintaining its own infrastructure. Example: Digital Ocean.
    • Platform as a service (PaaS): For businesses that want to build unique apps without significant financial investments through vendors in terms of building your applications like development tools, infrastructure, operating systems, PaaS is a popular choice. Example: Microsoft Azure, Heroku, Google App Engine.
    • Function as a service (FaaS): Overlapping with PaaS, FaaS is also know as the server less computer. The main idea of FaaS focuses on building app functionality so that it doesn’t continually spend time managing the servers and infrastructure. It breaks down the application into separate functions that run when triggered by some action.
    • Software as a service (SaaS): SaaS is the most frequently use cloud computing infrastructure which became the dominant way to access software applications for businesses. SaaS delivers its software applications over the Internet, on-demand, and applies a pay-as-you-go service. Example: Google Apps, Dropbox, Salesforce.
  • Why is Ruby on Rails Useful?

Why is Ruby on Rails Useful?

Which language you choose for your project depends on multiple factors: level of support, scalability, availability of libraries, cost of frameworks that can cut down development time, and so on. These days, a lot of companies (both small startups and big, well-established businesses) choose Ruby on Rails as their primary framework for development.

What do you need to know about Ruby on Rails?

Ruby, which was developed more than twenty years ago, is one of the most popular programming languages today. Ruby on Rails is a free open source framework (like many other popular frameworks, it’s distributed under the MIT license).

The Rails framework helps developers build websites by abstracting and simplifying repetitive tasks.

Ruby on Rails is based on the Model-View-Controller (MVC) design pattern. The MVC pattern supports parallel development, which means that multiple developers can work on the same app simultaneously, with each working on a separate piece of functionality.

What are the advantages of using Ruby on Rails for web programming?

    1. Ruby on Rails is easy to read, comprehend, and work in because it’s close to a natural language.

Ruby on Rails is really close to English, but it also uses its own domain-specific language that extends Ruby’s semantics. Often, domain-specific languages end up being too complicated. The team behind Rails has found a good balance by using domain-specific language only in certain instances so it doesn’t make the framework difficult to understand.

    2. Ruby on Rails has a rich collection of libraries that facilitate and speed up development.

The philosophy behind Ruby on Rails is often describe by referring to the software design paradigm convention over configuration. This implies that the framework is compose in a way that decreases the number of decisions that a developer has to make while keeping the framework itself flexible and easy to customize.

It has multiply reusable, easily configurable components that can be used to cut down development time.

Generators in Ruby on Rails allow you to automate basic CRUD functions, while libraries, appropriately called gems, can be used to implement typical features such as authentication or payment integrations. Another powerful tool that Ruby developers can use is the module. Modules provide help you organize Ruby classes, methods, and constants and unites them into groups or units. Writing a module is similar to writing a class, except that a module starts with the module keyword instead of the class keyword.

    3. Ruby on Rails has options for test automation.

Ruby on Rails has an option for integrated testing that checks the quality of code as it’s being written. This means that there’s less need for third-party testing tools.

Rails create a test directory for you as soon as you create a Rails project using rails new application_name. By default, every Rails application has three environments: development, test, and production.

It’s possible to run all of your tests at once using the bin/rails test command, or it’s possible to run a single test file bypassing the filename containing your test cases to this same command.

    4. Ruby on Rails is mature and stable.

Ruby on Rails provides opportunities for code refactoring and lets developers extend their apps by adding new features to existing code. This framework has well-established coding conventions that make it easy for new developers to join projects that have accumulated a lot of legacy code.

    5. Ruby is scalable.

Ruby is good for scaling a product.

First of all, Ruby supports caching out of the box. Meaning that you can view fragment caching within your app’s code and also use Redis as a cache-store. You can also use a remote multi-server automation tool such as Capistrano, which automates pushing of new application versions to your deployment location. It also let you use the cloud infrastructure framework Chef, which itself is written in Ruby. The chef can help you manage infrastructure dependencies, create folder structures. Bootstrap the entire system or update system configurations with a minimum of commands.

Another thing that makes Ruby on Rails a good choice for a project that needs to scale is the way it works with background jobs. Enqueueing tasks such as email confirmation after new users register in the system is important for smooth user experience. The bigger your product is, the more crucial background jobs become to its functioning.

Overall, it’s noticeable that Ruby on Rails as a web development framework has reached maturity and will likely grow to become even more stable. Which together with its scalability makes it a good fit for enterprise-level applications. The committed community of developers who constantly contribute to its open-source libraries guarantees that Ruby on Rails will remain a top choice for many types of web development in the coming years.

  • What is a Data Scientist? 6 Steps to be a Data Scientist

What is a Data Scientist? 6 Steps to be a Data Scientist

Becoming a Data Scientist is a relatively new career trajectory that merges statistics, business logic, and programming knowledge. Given the exponential amount of data being churned out via our smartphones, desktops, and the vast array of IoT devices throughout the world, governments and private enterprises are interested in gleaning insight from their extensive data collection processes.

Regardless of your previous experience or skills, there exists a path for you to pursue a career in data science. We are here to help you know what skills you need to develop, and where you can learn them.

This guide provides a basic overview of some of the opportunities in this emerging field and lists the skills to become a data scientist. Let’s get started!

    What is a Data Scientist?

Data Scientists must possess statistical knowledge and computer skills that are needed for solving complex problems. Using descriptive, predictive, inferential, and causal models, they can explore and anticipate problems then work to model a solution based on a multitude of factors.

Data scientists are part mathematicians and part computer scientists. Their skillset encompasses both the business and information technology sectors, which is why they are highly sought after.

Data science is a deep knowledge discovery through data exploration and inference. This discipline focuses on using mathematical and algorithmic techniques to solve some of the most analytically complex business problems. In doing so, they leverage the troves of raw data to figure out the hidden insight that lies beneath the surface. The core of the field centers around evidence-based analytical accuracy and building strong decision capabilities. However, data scientists must also verbally and visually communicate their findings to stakeholders who may or may not understand the statistical jargon. Thus, data scientists must be excellent communicators.

    What is the necessary background?

The first waves of data scientists were primarily from development personnel, computer scientists, and engineers. They were the ones who created machine learning models that optimized the process and minimized the cost function. They would analyze unstructured data, create specific programs for each problem, and, due to limitations of the computational processing, do manual map/reduction.

The good news is people from different backgrounds have the opportunity. Join this field and one of the main reasons is the intense use of Python which is a high-level language acting as an API. Performative low-level languages. In other words, you don’t have to waste energy worrying about complicated syntax. Because writing in Python is like writing in English. You just need to study for a few weeks to master the basics.

Six steps to become a Data Scientist

    Preparation

Future data scientists can begin preparations before they even step foot on a university campus or launch themselves into an online degree program. Becoming proficient with the most widely used programming languages in data science such as Python, Java, and R — and refreshing their knowledge in applied math and statistics — will help aspiring data scientists get a head start. In fact, entering college with an already established skillset frequently improves a student’s learning rate. But, also, early exposure to data science knowledge requirements is helpful for determining whether a data science career is the right fit.

    Complete undergraduate studies

The most sought-after majors for data science are statistics, computer science, information technologies, mathematics, or data science (if available). Minoring in one of the aforementioned fields is also recommended. Continue to learn programming languages, database architecture, and add SQL/MySQL to the “data science to-do list”. Now is the time to start building professional networks by looking for connections within college communities, looking for internship opportunities, and asking professors and advisors for guidance.

    Obtain an entry-level job

Companies are often eager to fill entry-level data science jobs. Search for positions such as Junior Data Analyst or Junior Data Scientist. System-specific training or certifications in data-related fields (e.g., business intelligence applications. Relational database management systems, data visualization software, etc.) might help when looking for entry-level data science jobs.

    Earn a Master’s Degree or a Ph.D.

Data science is a field where career opportunities tend to be higher for those with advanced degrees. The in-demand graduate degrees for data science include the exact same specifications for an undergraduate degree. Data science (if available), computer science, information technology, math, and statistics. However, many companies also accept STEM degrees such as biotechnology, engineering, and physics (among others). Also keep in mind that data scientists need to understand how to use enterprise-grade data management programs and how distributed storage and computation operate (e.g., Hadoop, MapReduce, and Spark) in relation to model building and predictive analytics.

    Get promoted

Additional education and experience are key factors that lead to being promoted or becoming a data scientist in high demand. Businesses value results. Coupling strong technical skills with project management and leadership experience will generally chart a course towards more significant opportunities and higher compensation.

    Never Stop Learning

Staying relevant is crucial to the ever-evolving field of data science. In this age of constant technological innovation, continuing education is a hedge against shifts in the career market. This is also the case for data science since the field isn’t as established as other statistically and technologically focused careers. A career-oriented data scientist is always learning and evolving with the industry. Continue to network and look for educational and professional development opportunities through boot camps and conferences.

In general, the data science outlook continues to be on the upward trajectory as the influx of data isn’t likely to cease anytime soon and enterprises will need someone with the skills to parse through data tangle and help increase its value.

  • The Basic of Internet of Things

The Basic of Internet of Things

What Is IoT? — A Simple Explanation of the Internet of Things

We all know that IoT is changing industries across the board. But what is IoT, exactly?

The Internet of Things(IoT) can be defined as a network of physical. Objects or people called “things” that are embedded with electronics, and sensors which allows these objects to exchange data.

The goal of IoT is to extend to internet connectivity from standard devices like computer, mobile, tablet to relatively dumb devices like a toaster. IoT makes virtually everything “smart,” by improving aspects of our life with the power of data collection, AI, and networks.

How does the Internet of Things actually work?

Remember, the Internet of Things consists of ordinary devices that can connect to the internet and communicate with each other over the cloud. Generally, that means adding special sensors to ordinary items like washing machines, heating systems, refrigerators, watches, or almost anything else.

Some devices use these sensors to collect information and report it back. The first-ever IoT device mentioned above, a vending machine, used sensors to monitor its inventory and make that information available to the owner.

Other devices can receive information and then perform an action. For example, smart door locks receive a signal that you want them to open and then follow through by doing so.

The most sophisticated — and generally, most useful — IoT devices can do both. In industrial IoT, this could be a factory monitoring machinery components for possible malfunctions and then raising the alarm when a problem is detected. Home-based IoT, this could be your smart thermostat. Which collects information about your temperature preferences and habits. Acts accordingly to heat or cool your home to the desired temperature depending on the time of day.

In general, smart technology helps things work better — more efficiently and with more synchronicity.

Most home IoT gadgets use your router to connect to a larger smart home, allowing you to use voice-activated commands or your smartphone to control many functions of your home to save time, energy, or both.

Commercially, IoT tech helps companies monitor and manage their factories, supply chains, and more. Sensors can also be added to a given part of some large-scale machinery, such as the drill of an oil rig, which can help improve production and safety.

    Why IoT Matters

When something is connected to the internet, that means that it can send information or receive information, or both. This ability to send and/or receive information makes things smart, and smart is good.

Let’s use smartphones (smartphones) again as an example. Right now you can listen to just about any song in the world, but it’s not because your phone actually has every song in the world stored on it. It’s because every song in the world is stored somewhere else. Your phone can send information (asking for that song) and then receive information (streaming that song on your phone).

How do IoT devices connect to each other?

IoT allows web-enabled devices to connect to each other and act on data that are sent between them. Although, Devices use the cloud to communicate, connecting over the internet using Wi-Fi, a cellular connection (3G or 4G).

Soon, 5G will engender even more futuristic possibilities, like driverless cars, fully interconnected cities, and more advances that currently sound like a sci-fi movie.

    The benefits of IoT

Why do we need the Internet of Things? Well, aside from the cool factor of having smart and shiny devices. IoT brings a host of benefits to both home and commercial settings.

Firstly, having smart sensors in your devices can improve convenience and efficiency. For example, smart lights or a smart thermostat can automatically turn off when you’re not at home to cut down on consumption and thus costs. When you have all of your devices linked together in a smart home. You’ll collect data on your habits and usage. Sometimes even just seeing statistics about your consumption can be eye-opening and shed light on what changes you can make to save time and/or money.

Looking ahead, we’ll soon see even larger-scale applications of IoT tech with smart cities. As mentioned, 5G will really kick it up a notch — mainly due to its monstrously increased speed and vastly better connectivity.

IoT could also be hugely beneficial in monitoring and reacting to environmental conditions. We could vastly improve things like forest fire detection, crop growing . And controlling emissions to help with air pollution.

Conversations about the IoT are taking place all over the world as we seek to understand how this will impact our lives. We are also trying to understand what the many opportunities and challenges are going to be as more and more devices start to join the IoT. For now, the best thing that we can do is educate ourselves about what the IoT is and the potential impacts that can be seen on how we work and live.

  • Big Data Fundamental Concepts

    Big Data Fundamental Concepts

Big data is the umbrella term that describes the method of data processing. This process requires modern strategies and technologies to collect, organize, and gather insights from large datasets. The struggle of working with massive-size records is not a new thing. Especially the inability of the computing and storage system of a single computer to process the material. But the value and proportion of this type of computing keep on becoming popular and greatly expanding in recent years.

    Get To Know

There is no precisely correct definition of big data since the applications vary between projects and business professionals. But generally speaking, the term defines large datasets or the category of computing strategies and technologies used to handle large datasets.

A large dataset itself means a dataset that is too large to process or store information with conventional tools or on a single computer. It also implies that the size of the data may alter depending on the organization and the instruments used.

    The Systems May Vary

The basic qualifications needed to work with big data are the same as qualifications to work with regular-size datasets. Nevertheless, new challenges may constantly occur when designing solutions due to some aspects. Data characteristics, massive data size, and the speed needed maybe some of them. The purpose of this system is to present insights and correlations of huge quantities of diverse information that would be impossible if using the traditional method.

Gartner’s Doug Laney introduced the Three V’s to describe some of the characteristics that make big data different from other data processing. The characteristics are Volume, Velocity, and Variety. But many individuals and organizations suggested expanding the original three Vs with additional features such as Veracity, Variability, and Value.

    Why Is Big Data Important?

The importance of big data is not only about how much material you have but what you do with it. In general, the collection of data is used to make analysis. The most common analysis made of this system includes cost reductions, time reductions, new product development, and decisions making. You also can accomplish business-related tasks such as determining root causes, generating coupons, or recalculating risks. To accomplish these tasks, you need to combine big data with high-powered analytics.

Though this system of massive-size data is not perfectly-matched with all computing types, many companies and organizations start adapting big data processes for some specific workloads. The system supports difficult-to-detect patterns and provides valuable insights.

  • What is Django and Why is it Used?

What is Django and Why is it Used?

Choosing a web development framework is a big deal. There are quite a few frameworks on the market, each designed to address different project needs. For many companies and independent projects, the Django framework is an easy choice — it’s one of the most popular web development tools. But why is that? What is Django used for? Let’s figure out what Django is and why so many developers around the world use it — and how you can do the same.

    What is the Django Framework?

Django is an open-source python web framework used for rapid development, pragmatic, maintainable, clean design, and secure websites. A web application framework is a toolkit of all components needed for application development.

The main goal of the Django framework is to allow developers to focus on components of the application that are new instead of spending time on already developed components. Django is fully featured than many other frameworks on the market. It takes care of a lot of hassles involved in web development; enables users to focus on developing components needed for their application.

    Top 5 Uses of Django

    1. Easy to Use

Django uses Python programming language which is a popular language in 2015 and now most choosing language by programmers who are learning to code and applications of the Django framework is widely used as it is free and open-source, developed and maintained by a large community of developers. It means we can find answers to the problems easily using Google.

    2. It’s fast and simple

One of Django’s main goals is to simplify work for developers. To do that, the Django framework uses:

    • The principles of rapid development, which means developers can do more than one iteration at a time without starting the whole schedule from scratch
    • DRY philosophy — Don’t Repeat Yourself — which means developers can reuse existing code and focus on the unique one.

    3. Excellent Documentation for real-world application

Applications of Django have one of the best documentation for its framework to develop different kinds of real-world applications whereas many other frameworks used an alphabetical list of modules, attributes, and methods. This is very useful for quick reference for developers when we had confused between two methods or modules but not for freshers who are learning for the first time. It’s a difficult task for developers to maintain the documentation quality as it is one of the best open-source documentation for any framework.

    4. It’s secure

Security is also a high priority for Django. It has one of the best out-of-the-box security systems out there, and it helps developers avoid common security issues, including

    • clickjacking,
    • cross-site scripting
    • SQL injection.

Django promptly releases new security patches. It’s usually the first one to respond to vulnerabilities and alert other frameworks.

    5. It suits any web application project

With Django, you can tackle projects of any size and capacity, whether it’s a simple website or a high-load web application. Why use it for your project? Because:

    • It’s fully load with extras and scalable. You can make applications that handle heavy traffic and large volumes of information
    • It is cross-platform, meaning that your project can be based on Mac, Linux or PC
    • It works with most major databases and allows using a database that is more suitable in a particular project, or even multiple databases at the same time

Finally, it’s an overview of Django, how we need to use it, and its use in real-world application development. So choose Django if you need to complete your web application or website within a short time with full security and offers. Fastreliable and scalable services based on traffic. Many good websites are develope using the Django framework like Instagram, BitBucket, Mozilla, and etc.
